Hey everyone! This page is all about our big day; the best day ever! I am going to post all of the pictures from the little details to the large. I hope you enjoy this page of my sweet memories & hope it helps inspire all my beautiful bride to be's!
We decided to do a save the date and invitation all in one. We combined the typical information for an invitation and also added a collage of pictures. My husband created this himself so let me know if you want him to create your dream invite!
This is by far one of my favorite up close pictures of my makeup from our special day. These earrings were perfect for the classic elegance glam I was going for. https://www.liketoknow.it/ltk/31CV1CLp0h8rtIUrzwz7Q6
I fell in love with these pajamas that I found on Etsy and the price was just a bonus. I added the word Bride on the back and was able to choose my color and what it said. https://www.liketoknow.it/ltk/3wfZYg50gcwIWz3ycvDIBA
Of course I had to pop the champagne and do the obligatory picture with my girls. These matching jammies can be found here! https://www.liketoknow.it/ltk/2PdWy1BupjdvLec3ua0cxQ
This memory is one of the most fun to look back on. My photographer told me to start shaking it so they could get some shots, and oh boy did I shake it! LOL
Now let's drink up before our first look!
I am so thankful they were able to capture my Mom and number one supporter for helping me put on and button up my dress.
Don't forget to get a cute picture looking back at the special person helping you get ready!
I gave my mom a special gift after I was all dressed and ready to go. I got her a handkerchief that had a little poem named Mom on it. I got it from Party City the day before. I couldn't believe I didn't think of this sooner. I was shocked by the quality of the gift and got one for my dad as well!
I was so excited to do my first look with my girls! They saw me get ready, but they haven't seen the final product yet!
Their reactions were everything!! I am so thankful I decided to one with my bridesmaids as well as my man!
My bridesmaid's dresses are from Birdy Grey! My Maid & Matron of Honor's dresses were from David's Bridal! I decided to have these two stand out with a beautiful rose gold/blush pink dress and my other girls wore a stunning Burgundy in the Ryan Dress. https://www.birdygrey.com/?ar_clx=yes&ar_campaign=9765223113&ar_ad=428835169436&ar_adgroup=105306140808&ar_channel=google&g_acctid=923-255-4035&g_c
Look at that HUNK! I was so nervous about his reaction and was hoping that I would be his dream bride! Silly I know, but true!
His reaction was perfect! So glad it was caught on camera!
The first hug in our wedding day attire! I still get chills looking back at this photo because I remember how amazing this embrace was. His smile says it all!
You bet your top dollar I had to get a first look with our dog, Dusk! I couldn't let the day go by without having him a part of it because he is such a huge part of our life!
Sealing it with a KISS ;)
My face because it's time to dance & eat cake!
I totally chose this venue after seeing this wall space used for a Gobo. I was sold after seeing this gobo wall because I could instantly envision our letters on the wall and it fit perfectly with the theme I was going for!
I wanted to tie in the rose gold from my color scheme so when I found this beautiful rose gold table cloth, my heart did a dance. It turned out stunning with the flowers and greenery.
Here is a beauitful shot of the reception area. Here is the sign in table, outdoor seating, and the dancefloor. We had a few tables inside as well as the food itself and the photobooth.
Of course I chose to put our silly hashtag on the display! We had two hashtags. One was #betterasabenoit and then the one on this sign! The story behind it is I waited for 4 years to get the proposal, so I joked saying I have been waiting for this!
The Guest Book Alternative was the thing that I researched the most. I at first wanted the traditional wood sign with our name and date on it, but the more I dug, I found screenprinted paintings of the bride and groom as well as a pet and I was hooked. I bought the design from Etsy, then ordered it on a canvas from Canvas World. https://www.liketoknow.it/ltk/7KHg3YyuJUUJA5goUQ1zhw
I scoured the internet for the most perfect centerpieces and never went all in to buy the things I looked at because it was so pricey. I decided to make my centerpieces simple and elegant. The venue itself is beautiful with the capitol in the background, so we didn't need to spend an arm and a leg on something to put on the table. Besides, we planned on dancing the night away, so in the end who ca
As a teacher I just had to find a way to weasle my babies into my big day since they are a huge part of me. I let those who wanted to participate, fill out a "Love is" sheet and they were prompted to write what they think love is and what it means to them.
My talented husband created these amazing koozies and I love how they turned out. Since the capitol is in the background of our venue, we put the capitol on the koozie along with spotlights and our names. Let me know if you want my hubby to create your own koozie design!
The yummy catering menu! The catering company we used was Heirloom Catering from St. Francisville, LA.
I was so excited when I found this cake topper with the saying "Love you more" because it is our saying and I felt that it just added a personal touch to the cake. https://www.liketoknow.it/ltk/5tShB17yKd5fBjEbUDuKkO
We promised each other not to smash cake on each other because makeup is expensive, but last minute I decided "what the heck, we only have this moment once" and I smoked him with the cake. He got me back and let's just say it ended up down my dress lol
My husband, Will is obsessed with LSU sports, especially football. I found it fitting to choose a LSU stadium cake for his groom's cake.
The details on this cake still wow me today. Cake That, did amazing on this creation. My favorite part is our engagement picture on the scoreboard along with our wedding date as the score! So personal and cute!
