Something I always think of when shopping is the number of seasons I can successfully pull the piece off in. One of my go to outfits is a simple dress, hat, and booties. It is so simple, but can be easily added to or taken down. I think that the picture above is perfect in any season except in winter I would do over the knee boots instead and a jacket.
However, most of the times I prefer to choose bold and fun prints instead of monotone colors such as black. I do love having at least 2-3 plain outfits that I can wear in between my spunky colors and prints to even it out. Lately my favorite things to throw on and go are rompers and dresses. I will post a few of my favorite items in the gallery below.
When I think of spring, the words "bloom" and "life" come into my mind right away. No matter what happened during the hard seasons of your life, good things will find you again. No matter how bare you may feel, remember that even the trees who lose all of its leaves during a harsh winter will always grow and bloom colorfully again.
When spring comes around we might lose an hour of sleep, but we are being propelled further. We now have more time in the day to accomplish our goals and we are awake for an extra hour of sunshine. What I'm getting at is that the hardships we go through, it is easy to find the negative and fall prey to shame or a pity party. But, if we turn those negative thoughts around when we identify them, we allow ourselves room to bloom.
My absolute favorite season is spring in general as well for fashion. I love the happiness that i feel when I can wear shorts or a dress outside without a jacket and feel the sun radiating on my face. So many of us were scared to go outside due to the weather, but now as things start to warm up and the ice starts to thaw, sunshine starts to take it's role. I love bringing bright colors and prints into winter to keep the radiating happiness alive, but when the weather outside correlates with my outfit, everything feels in sync once again.
This spring, I challenge you to focus on the positivity in every situation and on watering yourself so that you continue to bloom into the best version of yourself. As a blogger, my "job" is to bring you fun fashion tips and trends, but I love putting a little bit more into my posts. I want to encourage all of my readers each time I post and make them feel valuable and worthy. If only one person reads my blog and takes something away, then it will all be worth it.
I hope you are all staying safe despite the crazy chaos going on in the world as we speak. Remember, especially in a time like this, focus on springing forward. Find the positivity in every day and soak in the sunshine!
I don't know about you, but I hated the blazer trend since it started. I always thought that it was too businessy if that is a word and it would be way easier and cheaper to just wear a cardigan or jacket. Well, times have changed and I am on the blazer bandwagon officially. When I saw this blazer on Shop The Mint's Instagram, I immediately swiped up. I knew that I needed it in my wardrobe. It was bold and feminine as well as sophisticated and fun. I just got it in today, two days after ordering and I am pumped. I decided that since I loved it so much, I wanted to create as many different styles as I could with this Make A Change Blazer and had so much fun doing it. I hope you enjoy. When buying an outfit, one of the things I always try to think of is how many uses I can get out of it and how I can dress it up or down. I decided to style this striped wrap dress with a sweater, a pullover, and a bralette. The way I will mostly wear it during the summer is the middle option as it is very hot in Louisiana and the bralette adds a little detail to the outfit and makes it easier to dress down. I love dressing a dress that is supposed to be worn dressed up, casual and dressed down. I think that the Polaroid pullover adds just the right spunk and pzazz to my outfit. I think that the colors and the stripes match and flow perfectly. I decided to tuck a chunky sweater into my bra and it turned out so cute. If I could find an orange color instead of yellow, I think it would be even cuter. I love taking a piece of clothing and finding unique ways of styling and pairing.
